Working while traveling? Make sure you are working safely
While mobile devices enable connections while commuting or traveling, these connections may not be safe enough to do your work. Being able to log in and do work on the go may be convenient, but often it is too risky when you are managing financial, sensitive or personal data, or logging into systems that hold this type of data.
ACTION STEPS:
- Unless it is a legitimate emergency, resist the urge to log into Office365 or work applications unless you are on a protected, work-authorized Wi-Fi and VPN.
- If there is a business need for you to access work applications on-the-go, get approval from your IT security staff about how to work safely when working away from your office or approved remote workstation.
